A few words for Cheryl from Tarryn and Richard
Tarryn and I want to take a moment to properly thank someone very special to us — Cheryl.
I’ve actually known Cheryl since long before SLIMSUIT existed, from our days together at Pam Golding Properties. So, when Tarryn and I needed an administrator as we were starting to build this business full time, I asked around — and Cheryl, without me even asking her directly, said she’d be interested herself. Best answer I ever got to that question.
And what a journey it’s been since. We started with one Sea Weeds store and a small warehouse in Westlake, with just Joanne and one assistant helping us keep it all together. Today, we have 9 stores this week, 10 by next month, over 50 staff, and offices and a warehouse we could only have dreamed of back then.
Cheryl has been there through every bit of that growth — quietly, and not so quietly, making sure everything was organized, planned, and running the way it should. From customers to shipping to being my right-hand day in and day out, there is very little that has happened in this business over the last 11 years that Cheryl hasn’t had a hand in.
Cheryl, your loyalty and commitment to us and to this business have meant more than we can properly put into words. We are going to miss you enormously.
But now it’s your time. Time to enjoy this next chapter, to spend it doing the things you and Joe have always talked about, and to soak up all the time in the world with your grandchildren.

To Our Dear Granny
As you prepare to retire, we want you to know just how much you mean to all of us in the Warehouse Team.
For 11 years, you have been part of our everyday lives. During that time, you became so much more than a colleague — you became family. That is why we call you “Granny”, and we think that says everything about how much we love and appreciate you.
We have learnt so much from you over the years — not only about work, but also about life, patience, kindness and looking out for one another. You have been such a big part of our daily routine that the warehouse is honestly going to feel very different without you.
We will miss your presence, your familiar face, your stories, your advice, your laughter and all the little things that made you such an important part of our team. We have shared busy days, crazy days, stressful days and plenty of laughs. Somehow, we always made it through them together.
And after all these years, there is really only one thing we can say:
“And so are the days of our lives!” 😂❤️
That little joke will always remind us of you and all the memories we have shared.
While we are sad to say goodbye, we are also very happy for you as you begin this new chapter. You have worked hard and given so much of yourself over the years, and now it is your time to relax, enjoy life, spend time with your loved ones, make new memories and do all the things you never had enough time for.
We wish you happiness, good health, peace, laughter, wonderful adventures and a very long and happy retirement.
Thank you for 11 years of memories, lessons, friendship and love. You have left a special place in all our hearts, and no matter where life takes you, you will always be our Granny and part of the Warehouse family.
We are going to miss you more than you know.
