At Slimsuit, Women’s Day is more than a date on the calendar — it’s an opportunity to recognise the incredible women who help shape our business every single day. From the showroom floor to behind the scenes, their dedication, creativity, resilience, and passion are woven into everything we do.

We believe that confidence starts from within, and we are proud to work alongside women who inspire that confidence through their hard work, leadership, and unwavering commitment to excellence. Today, we celebrate not only their professional achievements but also the strength, compassion, and determination they bring to our workplace and the lives of those around them.

This Women’s Day, we honour the women of Slimsuit and every woman who continues to break barriers, support others, and redefine what it means to lead with confidence and purpose. Thank you for being the heart of our team and an inspiration to our customers and community. 💜

Seeing someone I’ve mentored grow in confidence and succeed has been incredibly rewarding. Knowing I’ve played even a small part in someone else’s journey is something I’ll always be proud of.
My grandmother has always been my biggest inspiration. She showed me that strength doesn’t have to be loud, it can be found in patience, generosity, and unwavering determination.
Confidence means accepting both my strengths and my imperfections. It gives me grace while continuing to grow.
Every setback is temporary. Keep going, keep learning, and trust that each challenge is helping shape the person you’re becoming.
A great outfit doesn’t change who I am—it reminds me of who I am. It helps me start the day with confidence and purpose.

Looking back at how far I’ve come makes me incredibly proud. I started working at the age of 18, stitching carpets in a store, and through hard work, determination, and never giving up, I worked my way up to becoming the Warehouse Manager at Slimsuit. Every step of the journey has taught me that no dream is too big when you’re willing to work for it.
Without a doubt, my mom. She always told me, “Never depend on others because they may disappoint you, but never disappoint yourself. Work hard for what you want in life.” Those words have stayed with me every day. She taught me to be independent, resilient, and to believe that hard work will always open doors.
Confidence is believing in yourself even when the journey isn’t easy. It’s showing up every day, giving your best, learning from your mistakes, and never letting life’s challenges define you. For me, confidence comes from knowing how much I’ve overcome.
I would tell my younger self, “Keep going. The difficult days won’t last forever.” My parents divorced when I was 14, and while it was one of the hardest times in my life, it didn’t break me—it made me stronger. Every challenge has helped shape the woman I am today.
Getting dressed reminds me that I’m stepping into another day with purpose. Last August, I achieved something I never thought possible—I got my driver’s licence. It may seem like a small achievement to some, but it meant the world to me. I’m incredibly grateful to my bosses, Tarryn and Richard, for believing in me and encouraging me to achieve that goal. Their support gave me confidence, and every morning I remind myself that with hard work, faith, and people who believe in you, anything is possible.

Out of the many proud moments I’ve had, completing my first degree has to be the highlight of my life. I have never felt prouder of myself than I did in that moment. The many hardships I experienced during my undergraduate degree left me feeling unsure of myself, until I finally realized that I could do it too.
Naming just one would be a disservice to all the women who made me who I am today. I have always been surrounded by strong women in my family. My oldest sister showed me that hard work can take you far, my youngest sister taught me that patience and family make you stronger, and my mother taught me that when you learn, teach, and when you receive, give. The only way recipes and knowledge don’t get lost is by passing them on to the next generation.
Standing in your truth, even when the whole world seems to be against people like you.
Don’t change yourself just to fit in. There are people out there who will love you and enjoy your company exactly as you are.
Knowing that I only have this one life to live, and I need to make the most of it every day. I also listen to Nicki Minaj to give myself that extra boost of confidence before taking on the day.

One of the moments I felt truly proud of myself was stepping into a leadership role and realising how much I had grown, both professionally and personally. Being trusted to lead a team, make important decisions and support others in their own growth showed me that I had earned my place at the table. It reminded me that every challenge and every lesson along the way had prepared me for that moment.
The woman who has shaped who I am today is my mother. She taught me the importance of strength, resilience, kindness and always believing in myself. Watching her navigate life with grace and determination showed me what it means to be a strong woman. She has always encouraged me to work hard, stay true to who I am and never be afraid to pursue my goals.
For me, confidence is knowing who I am and trusting myself, even when I don’t have all the answers. Life can be challenging , so confidence means staying composed, making decisions, communicating clearly and knowing that I can handle whatever comes my way. It’s also about being comfortable enough to be myself and not feeling the need to prove my worth to anyone.
I would tell my younger self to trust the journey and not be afraid to take up space. You don’t have to have everything figured out immediately. Every challenge, mistake and uncomfortable moment is helping you grow into the woman you’re meant to become. Believe in yourself sooner, celebrate your progress and never underestimate what you’re capable of.
I feel powerful when I get dressed in a way that makes me feel confident, polished and completely myself. Working in retail, fashion is naturally a big part of my everyday life, but for me it’s not just about what I’m wearing — it’s about how I carry myself. When I look good, feel comfortable and know that I’m ready to lead my team and take on the day, that gives me an extra sense of confidence and power.

A proud moment for myself was when I finished building my own house.
I would definitely say my late aunt Elizebeth, she raised me to be a strong confident person.
Confidence for me is upholding yourself, live in a proper and respectful manner, always be confident in what you do.
I’d definitely say stay calm, pray god is always in control.
When I get dressed in the morning after putting my jacket or coat, obviously after putting my last bit of lipstick on, i say to myself lets make this happen!

When i became a mother, also when i started working and earning my own money.
I’d without a doubt say my grandmother as she raised me to be the woman i am today, not only in respect for others but also to be a great mom to my kids.
Upholding yourself even when times are tough.
No matter what never give up on your dreams “nothing is impossible”.
Just being able to wake up in the morning is a powerful thing on its own, starting a new day with a fresh mindset.

When I became a grandmother, I was extremely happy.
Honestly speaking my late sister, and my ex colleague they always inspired me.
Stay positive, just be your energetic self.
Just be yourself, and encourage yourself to always do better, stay positive.
The fact that i feel healthy, positive and blessed to see a new day.
